For the next issue of our labelnights in Berlin’s Panorama Bar we are proud to present one of Chicago’s finest, Boo Williams. Here is a part of his biography:

Born and raised on Chicagos south side, Boo Williams’ career as dj, producer, back when house music was still creating an identity for itself that would put the city on the modern musical map forever. A healthy diet of Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, stirred the flames of the 4 to the floor beat that has remained well alive ever since. In these early days, childhood collaborator turned life-long friend, Glenn Underground was to play in important role in Boo’s career. The creative spark that emerged from their early collaboration contributed greatly to them becoming influential players in the Chicago dance scene and eventually way beyond. How many djs can say their first gig was performed in front of 2500 people?? Boo Williams and his soulful, disco-edged brand of house rocked, closing a set for house legend Ron Hardy back the days, The post 80s acid and electronic sound of house was developing into one of a more soulful nature directly borrowing from its disco, funk and soul heritage and formulating the sub genres of house that we speak of to this day. To date Boo Williams has had a prolific career with over 50 singles released for likes of Dust Traxx, Cajual, Ovum, Diaspora, Guidance, 3hree to 5ive, Residual with full L.Ps for Relief and Defender Records not including remixes for the likes of Green Velvet, Warmdue Kids, Miles Maeda. His constant bookings in the States has not prevented him from traveling the Atlantic to play Ministry of Sound, The End and Fabric (all London), Tribal Gathering (Manchester) as well as Glasgow, Dublin, Frankfurt, Barcelona and now Berlin!!!!!!

So, come over, listen to what Boo has to say to you and have fun.
